What's included in the rent?+

Everything: Wi-Fi, utilities (heat, electricity, water), furniture, weekly cleaning in common areas, and 24/7 support from our local team. No hidden fees, no surprise bills.

What's the minimum stay?+

Most rooms have a 4-week minimum. Some homestays prefer a semester commitment. Filter by duration on the search page to see what's flexible.

Can I cancel if my plans change?+

Yes. Full refund of your deposit up to 7 days before move-in. After that, the deposit may be partially retained depending on how much notice we have.

Do I need to pay the full amount upfront?+

No — you pay a small booking fee + refundable deposit to reserve your room. First month's rent is due on move-in day. After that, rent is billed monthly.

Can you help me arrive from abroad?+

Absolutely. Airport pickup is available for $65 CAD. Your house manager is on WhatsApp before you land, helps with SIM cards, transit cards, and gives you a welcome orientation on day one.

Is Vanmates available in my language?+

Yes — our team speaks English, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin. Maya, our booking assistant, replies on WhatsApp in any of these languages.
